Saxon9.4が出ています．Saxon Helpでしかアナウンスはなかった模様．
Saxon 9.4 is available in three editions (EE, PE, HE) for two platforms
(Java, ,NET). As usual, the most exciting new features are for the
Enterprise users - we're particularly proud of the fact that XSLT
stylesheets and XQuery queries are now compiled to byte code (for Java)
or IL (for .NET). But there are a lot of goodies for PE and HE users
too: comprehensive details are in the change log, as always.
とあるので期待しているのですが、Saxon 9.4とされたドキュメントが12/29時点でまだ更新されていないので詳細がよくわかりません．と思ってよくよくリンクをたどったら
にちゃんと変更ログがありました．読んでみると結構おもしろいです．
Byte codeにできるのは、Saxon EEしか出来ないのでしょうけれども、いろいろ拡張されています．今の仕事が一段落したら購入申請出してみようかなと思います．
＃ でももしSaxon 9.4 EEが来年のoXygen 13.2にバンドルされたら最高ですね．
